Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer, an Israeli actress, has
been praised for her performances. She was born in Tel Aviv, and first
attracted the attention of Hollywood when she was cast by Steven Spielberg in
her first English-speaking role, as Eric Bana's character's spouse in the
Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). Zurer is an American actress that has
been featured in Studio films, including Sony Pictures' Vantage Point, with
Dennis Quaid (with William Hurt), Samuel Goldwyn’s Fugitive pieces opposite
Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected alongside Jeff Goldblum and
Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons, opposite Tom Hanks, Darling
Companion an ensemble Lawrence Kasdan cast featuring Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline
and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel alongside Russell Crow. Ewan McGregor was her
co-filming partner in Rodrigo Garcia's Last Days in Desert. She also waited
patiently for The Last Knights to be released by Kazuaki Kriya, the Japanese
director. She recently received the Gold Nymph Award for Outstanding Actress in
a Drama Series at the 54th festival of television of Monte-Carlo for her role
in the TV show "Hostages". Ayelet received an Israeli Film And
Television Academy Award for her performance as Nina's Tragedies. She was
nominated for her roles in the movies Only Dogs Run Free (from the Holy Apple
Field), Desperado, Rutenberg, and The Dybuk from Holy Apple Field. Zurer was
awarded the Haifa International Film Festival critic award and also a star on
Haifa's "film boulevard" for her international and local accomplishments.
Zurer was awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award, for her part in
"In Treatment" which was a highly loved series of TV that was adapted
to American television by HBO. In 2014 She was nominated for an apposite
performance in the year's most popular drama "Shtisel" which she won
best actress in a drama for her performance as a brilliant surgeon facing the
death and life dilemma in Hostages, sold to BBC4 and Canal Plus, and as a
format to the American ABC. The "face " of one of Israel's most
renowned women's clothing companies- Golbary. She is a producer, writer and
illustrator. She is also a co-author on "Shorts" the first book
written for adults by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet has been working on a couple of her
projects in Israel, the US and expressed an interest in working with
international directors from all overthe world, including writers and directors
who are not well-known.
